Season Of Creation Activities

Each year, Christians all around the world celebrate the wonder of God’s Creation between 1 September and 4 October – in a period known as the “Season of Creation.”  

Inspired by Isaiah 32:14–18, the theme for this year’s celebrations is “Peace with Creation” – which invites us to “reflect on our role in healing a world harmed by environmental degradation, conflict, and injustice.”  Lesrn more of how QCT are celebrating

Outdoor service

QCEN hosted its 3rd annual Outdoor Prayer Service at the Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens on Monday 1 September, to celebrate the Season of Creation.  

 Thank you to all those who attended! There is something very special about worshipping outdoors. 

Particular thanks to Neil Bergman, Kumi Abeysuriya and Emma Beach for organising the service, and to Stephanie Jorna for the music.

Photographs and artworks celebrating Creation are on display at St John's Anglican Cathedral in Brisbane throughout September.

Mt Coot-tha Contemplative Walk 

QCEN has created a contemplative walk based around the Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane.  

Each of the eight stops in this walk is linked to a short Bible reading and reflection or prayer.
