Members of the Commission for prevention of Domestic and Family Violence have prepared resources for use in churches in the four weeks leading up to Christmas to raise awareness that not all families enjoy peaceful, joyful celebrations at this time of year and to be aware that, sadly, some of these families are amongst our communities. We believe, that to preach about the alarming statistics which are on the increase may give hope and courage for these people to seek help, speak up, be alert to the needs in the community around them.
